Introduction of Copolymer PP:
Regarding copolymers, we will list two representative models: Sinopec Zhongtian Hechuang K8003 and Yanchang Chemical EPS30R.
Both Sinopec Zhongtian Hechuang K8003 and Yanchang Chemical EPS30R are classic low melt index, impact-resistant copolymer polypropylene (PP) grades in the domestic plastics industry. Because they are copolymers (PP), they possess excellent impact resistance and low-temperature performance.
Sinopec Zhongtian Hechuang K8003 (often labeled PPB-M02-G in industry standards) is a benchmark product for domestically produced general-purpose high-impact copolymer injection molding. It is widely used in the Yangtze River Delta and North China markets and is a “standard stock” for plastic product manufacturers and modification plants.
Product Advantages:
1. Excellent balance of rigidity and toughness: While maintaining high mechanical strength, it endows the product with extremely high toughness.
2. Excellent low-temperature impact resistance: The product is not prone to cracking when subjected to heavy impacts at low or normal temperatures.
3. Low melt flow rate for easy processing: The melt flow rate (MFR) is typically around 2.5 g/10min. Its high melt strength makes it less prone to collapse or uneven wall thickness during injection molding of large parts or blow molding.
4. Scratch-resistant surface: The molded product has good surface hardness, is scratch-resistant, and can maintain its appearance and texture for a long time.
Application Areas:
Automotive and Home Appliances: Car bumpers, door interior parts, washing machine inner and outer drums, battery casings.
Industrial Logistics Packaging: Heavy-duty industrial turnover boxes, chemical lubricating oil drums, paint buckets, plastic pallets.
Children’s and Sporting Goods: Strollers, baby stroller parts, toys, sports equipment, and travel bags.
Yanchang Chemical’s EPS30R (mainly produced by Shaanxi Yulin Energy Chemical Co., Ltd.) is also a well-known low melt index impact-resistant copolymer polypropylene. In Northwest, Central China, and parts of East China, it is the first choice for many large injection molding and modification companies due to its cost-effectiveness.
Yanchang Chemical’s EPS30R (mainly produced by Shaanxi Yulin Energy Chemical Co., Ltd.) is also a well-known low melt index impact-resistant copolymer polypropylene. In Northwest, Central China, and parts of East China, it is the first choice for many large injection molding and modification companies due to its cost-effectiveness.
Product Advantages:
1. High rubber phase content: The ethylene propylene rubber phase is evenly distributed in its molecular structure, giving the material extremely high and powerful impact resistance, making it particularly suitable for products requiring hard-hit, drop-resistant, and pressure-resistant properties.
2. High melt strength: Similar to K8003, it is a copolymer with a low melt flow rate (MFR of approximately 1.5–3 g/10min). The material has strong load-bearing capacity in the molten state, a short molding cycle, and very stable dimensions in the molded product.
3. Wide processing window: It has high tolerance for injection molding machine process parameters, making the products less prone to cracking and shrinkage, resulting in a low defect rate.
Application Areas:
Large injection molded products: Large urban sanitation garbage bins, large plastic turnover baskets, and engineering plastic formwork for construction.
Modified base materials: Due to their excellent impact resistance, they are often purchased by plastic modification plants as “master stock” to modify and produce higher-requirement automotive or cable materials.
Pipes and extruded sheets: Due to their low melt index and good impact resistance, they can also be used for the extrusion processing of certain non-pressure pipes or hollow sheets requiring high toughness.
